He was released by the Packers today along with Donald Driver. he is an ILB and the Lions could use one of those. The Packers though said they hoped to resign him.

BQ:Do you think the Packers will resign Hawk and Driver like they said? If not, where will the go?

The Lions could definitely use him, but It seems like he likes Green Bay and the Packers will offer him a new contract.

Driver will be back in Green and gold.

Obviously noone here actually watches the Packers. Hawk played 0 snaps in week 1 against the Eagles. He played sparingly in weeks 2 and 3 against the Bills and Bears. Hawk didnt get regular snaps this year until Brandon Chillar and Nick Barnett got hurt. He is a backup for the Packers. He is a major liability in coverage.

For a team like the lions he could be good on 1st/2nd down against the run, but they will need someone to step in for him in passing situations.

Everyone who says he wants to be in Green Bay is stupid and misinformed. He requested a trade early in the year because of his lack of playing time.

BQ - they might bring Hawk back for depth in case the starters get hurt again. There is no doubt in my mind they will not resign Lee. They have Finley (one of the most promising players in the league), Quarless (in the mold of Finley physically), Crabtree (above average blocker), and Havner (special teams beast)

I think Hawk's top priority is to resign with the Packers unless I'm mistaken. GB is known as being great in bringing young talent to the team... I think if Hawk wants to play for Packers.. he would have to accept $5M to $8M per season... GB do not want to pay him $10M that was already on his old contract with GB.

As for Hawk signing with the Lions, this will be a huge plus for Lions even though it is said that Hawk's game faded away. I'm not even Lions fan but I can def see that Lions' future are looking bright and brighter. I think they're going to be smart and bring serious talent to the defense this offseason.

Uh it was Donald Lee who was released. That aside Hawk will be resigned by the Packers when it is possible. He isn't going to get a monster deal anywhere, and he would prefer to remain in Green Bay. He would be a solid starter for most teams, but expect him to remain in Green Bay.

The Packers took a big risk letting Hawk leave.Yes he might resign with the Packers but he may decide to test the market and find a better fianancial deal

I think AJ Hawk would be a perfect fit in Detroit. Lions need an ILB, Zack Follet just won't cut it this year if we want to win.

BQ- Probably Hawk, but maybe not Lee.

I thought you meant Driver, I would have been shocked.

I think a tackle machine like AJ Hawk could help anyone. I think with Nick Barnett coming back from I injury in 2011, I don't see Hawk coming back to Green Bay. I do think he could stay in the Midwest and sign with Detroit and help out a young defense.

BQ: I think Detroit is a possiblity, New England and maybe Washington.

If we can sign him, then I take him.

BQ: I think they will, but it would be nice to get Hawk.
