Hey College Football Fans, does Florida State's "War Chant" get annoying to you?

Question

I find it kind of cool now, but back in HS our Rival School were the Warriors and they played the War Chant in their stadium.

Not to mention the Tomahawk Chop.

Bevo, it was originally started by the FSU marching band...........During a very exciting game with Auburn in 1984, the Marching Chiefs began to perform the cheer. Some students behind the band joined in and continued the "war chant" portion after the band had ceased. The result, which was not very melodic at the time, sounded more like chants by American Indians in Western movies. Most say it came from the fraternity section, but many spirited Seminole fans added the "chopping" motion, a repetitious bend at the elbow, to symbolize a tomahawk swinging down. It is annoying if you over play it, Im a Gator fan and sometimes the Gator chomp gets me!!

Texas fans are the worst for an OU Sooner fan. In 2000 when we whooped them 63-14, walking out of the stadium we still heard OU sucks chants and overrated remarks lol. Was more stupidity then rudeness I guess. Nebraska has the best fans in my opinion. Hands down. Texas/OU is a big rivalry thats probably why there is so much hatred their. But going to the Red River Shootout gains new perspective on how bad some people can be haha.

I went to a game where FSU beat the crap out of us, 34 14 or something. It was very annoying then, but I have to say, the majority of FSU fans after the game were very cool. On TV, which is the only other time I have seen the Seminoles, it isn't annoying at all. At the game, they were doing it every 4th play or something, and it ruined the game for me. Not because it was the other team, it would have ruined the game even if I was an FSU fan.

I like it, but it's not original. It's the exact same thing the Atlanta Braves did in the early 90's. The Braves also had the "rally caps". They folded the back of their hats and put them on their heads with the brims up to simulate mohawks. It was pretty cool.

It don't get annoying if you get used to it. Plus that's FSU's signature chant. I just don't like the fact that high school teams are trying to play the War Chant in their stadiums.

All that stuff is annoying. The Gator Chomp gets really old, so does flashing the U.... maybe its something with those florida schools.
