Im 5'11 I weigh 175 and I bench 155. I'm mainly going to play corner this year but I might move over to Outside backer/ Strong Safety or Free safety. Outside backers and strong safety in our defense is the same thing.

Based on your height and weight, as well as your bench press max, I believe that the best fit for you is at free safety. Your size, especially your height, gives you the potential to become an elite high school free safety.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch high school football player, who could go on to play college football in the future.

185 would be decent. 155 is ok if your doing 6-10 reps but as a max its kinda low. Good would be 225.

I'm half way through my freshman year, played offensive tackle. I bench 185 (and increasing) and squat 345. I weigh 205-ish. I can squat more than almost all of our varsity football team

170 is pretty good for a high school player because at my high school we can max bench about that much weight
