OK PETA is now going to boycott the NFL. Can you believe this??? I don't care for Vick but he is innocent until proven guilty. If the NFL takes action that is a lawsuit for Vick to sue the NFL. What does everyone think?

he's innocent until proven guilty but my opinion is that it's customary to be suspended while being indited for a crime...doesn't matter if you're a nfl player or the janitor at the stadium. it goes against the code of conduct. pac man was suspended, along with lots of other guys who seem to think they are above the law.

when/if he's proven innocent, he comes back to work.

why would the falcons want him there right now anyway? it must be a huge distraction plus it makes the team look bad. send him off somewhere and hope it dies down and he's proven innocent. the longer they keep him active the more people are going to get on their soapboxes and rant and rave and protest.

PETA is going after Michael Irvin for wearing all of the fur coats!

Let them boycott the NFL - who cares?!?! I LOVE my meat, and I am not going to change my idea of the NFL due to a group such as them!!

As for the lawsuit, no - he doesn't have a case. See, most corporations have the whole "positive image" clause thing. Basically, this policy states that if you are accused of something that can reflect negatively upon the company that employs you, then you can be fired. Mr. Vick has done that countless times - this is just another PR mess he has caused for the Falcons and the NFL as a whole. If he were Joey Baggadonuts employed by John Boss, his @$$ would be canned - long before the dog fighting thing.

I think that the NFL and the Falcons are going to begin "hedging their bets" with Vick, and distancing themselves from him and this mess. He isn't going to be doing many interviews for the team/league, and promotions are definitely out of the question.

See, Nike did essentially the same thing by hold the release of the shoe that is his. They are not going to release it, and I will be utterly surprised if they don't drop him from the Nike fold by the beginning of the NFL season. . .

Stupid is as stupid does. . . Someone should have told Vick that one.

First does anyone really care if PETA boycotts the NFL, remember the woman who was going to boycott the Masters and ruin Augusta national - yeah I can't remember her name either. You can't hold the NFL responsible for what some low class individual does outside of the confines of the stadium. The question is how the NFL and the Falcons will react. If they don't come down on him then shame on them, but he is innocent until proven guilty.

PETA is and has always been radical. I can't see why everyone can't take a middle ground approach to this. He is innocent until PROVEN guilty. BUT some will defend him no matter what. I think people should wait and find out what the court decides. I hear there is very quick trials in that state.

BUT based on the way the NFL handles these types of things..I think that a suspension until trial is fair.

Is it possible to boycott something that you likely never supported in the first place? I am sure the NFL will be heartbroken. Vick deserves due process, but I will say this: I don't like him, I think he's been a fraud for quite a while now with his so-called good guy image. I don't believe he had no knowledge of what transpired on his premises.

The NFL has already stated that they will let the legal system play out before handing down any punishment on Vick. I think jeopardizing a 105 million dollar contract and millions in endorsements shows a lack of common sense.

Boycott Home Depot & shop at Lowe's, Ace, or any other hardware store as well. Falcons owner Arthur Blank founded Home Depot and I'm sure he still has stock and/or options in HD. I'm personally taking my hardware/home improvement business elsewhere until Mr. Blank kicks Vick to the curb by cutting him. I encourage all fellow dog-owning NFL fans to do the same.

Sue the NFL for what? NFL needs to represent all the players not just Vick.

Vick is an animal abusing loser. He needs to go down. He showed absolutley no remorse with his idiotic "people will still love me because I'm Michael Vick." The guy is a sociopath.

He doesnt have a chance in heck for suing the NFL get real here,. I hope the NFL does take a stand against him, if they do not the only ones that will suffer is his teammates and the city as a whole as I guarntee that the public is wanting the NFL to come in and take a stand. Those games and that city will be hit hard with protestors if nothing is done. Good for Nike for pulling his endorsement, I do not want my kid wearing something this potential felon is trying to endorse....I would like to see Vick put in a ring, with steak hanging out of his mouth, with about 20 of those dogs and see what happens then..his first court appearance is also the first day of his team practice....boy thats a great excuse to miss practice.....sounds like a great role model to me..

Pac-man Jones was not even charged, and he is out for a year.

Tank Johnson has misdemeanor gun charges against him...suspended for 8 games.

Grand jury indictment against Vick is more than enough to suspend him indefinitely pending the outcome of his case.

Here is the reason he is not being suspended...he sells tickets and merchandise for the NFL.

Vick is a sicko and I can't stand him and think his contract needs to be void. As far as peta who the hell cares, they have always been radical and I could care less about them.

i think PETA can go to hell, sure its cruel to mistreat animals, but thats between the NFL, the law, and Vick, no one else
