Question:
Does anybody know what the story is with Comcast and the NFL network?

I received a letter from Comcast stating that the NFL network is not interesting in participating with Comcast but that we would still be able to watch local teams on Comcast. I hate the local teams!

Does anyone know what the issue is? Or should I just switch to a dish? My Comcast contract runs until October.

Comcast isn't going to be getting NFL Network, although you would probably be more interested in Dish's NFL Sunday Ticket(that's what allows you to watch all the games). The reason is because NFL Network wants more money then some cable companies want to pay. I support companies like Comcast for not charging ALL customers just so that the ones who want it can get the NFL Network. If the NFL wanted the real money they would allow the cable companies to put the NFL Network on a different tier, so the people who WANTED to pay for it could.

Comcast is a train wreck. They just recently filed Chapter #11. Comcast does not want to pay the NFL network what they demand so no more NFL network on Comcast.

If you decide to satellite be aware that the NFL network usually only has one game per week for the latter half of the season on Thurs nights. There is sometimes a Saturday night game.

NFl Network is still on comcast. I would wait until Oct to make a decision. No NFL games will be broadcasted until November anyway.

Comcast doesn't want to spend the money the NFL Network wants!

Do yourself a favor and switch to DirectTV, Dish Sattelite, or some other satellite service.
