Question:
Has the bandwagon on Bret Favre run it's course???

Ok in the 1990's he was the man... everyone was a Green Bay fan. Then he kind of faded away and pulled some Roger Clemens crap and came back year after year, and now just when you thought they were done, here comes Green Bay again w/ a nasty year and Favre is getting all the glory. He's getting to do something no one else gets to do - relieve old glory days and the bandwagon is back in full swing.

The question is now that it's "cool" to root for the gunslinger who makes bad decisions time and time again and is interception prone because of it again when/if do you think the wheels will fall off? 1st round of the playoffs? Does he make a final push w/ his weak running and defense into the 2nd round then collapse? Or is this a fairy tale ending to a storied career almost as if it were destiny itself manipulating his games?

Personally I loved Favre and Green Bay in the 90's I was a bandwagoner then I HATED him for the last few years. I want to root for him again.. but I'm too smart.

I am a lifelong Cowboy Fan, but I have to say that Favre is my favorite athlete of all time.

There is no Quarterback that compares.

I said Quarterback, not "passer".........he can do it all.

To answer your question, it has not run it's course, and I think he should keep playing as long as Green Bay wants him, and put a decent team around him.

I'm just a humble Packer fan, and have been so for many years now.

If other people want to get on the bandwagon and jump off again, that's their issue. The real fans will support him and the team no matter what.

Yes, he's had his bad years. He's thrown s***loads of interceptions in the past few years. But obviously Coach McCarthy has had a word in his ear, and he's now managing the game more effectively, taking the checkdowns and slants whilst letting his receivers make the plays with their feet. And of course he hasn't lost the ability to gunsling, but he's more accurate now.

Whatever happens for the rest of the season and the playoffs (barring a major collapse), happens.

Like I said, all the true Packers fans (myself included) will support the team, then Favre (in that order) no matter what.

And I'm sure the bandwagon people will hitch a ride to Dallas, Indianapolis or New England if it all suddenly goes wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I'm not a Green Bay fan in the least but I have a lot of respect for Brett Favre and as long as they aren't playing the Pats I root for them to win. I wouldn't say I jumped on the Favre bandwagon though, I guess its just being a fan. He is a great QB and from what of seen in interviews and other things on TV he seems pretty down to earth, like he doesn't let everything go to his head. He really seems like he is there for the fun of the game and not the glory. OK so maybe that's not why everyone is a Favre fan but is why I am. I don't think my opinion of him will change wether hes winning or losing. Sorry I didn't really answer your question I guess.

I don't think the Brett Favre bandwagon ever truly died out, at least not here in Wisconsin. This man could be his own religion if he wanted to be. He is, and for a long time after he's gone, the man. He's got the best offensive talent at WR he's ever had during his career, minus when he was throwing to 84 Sterling Sharpe. He's just another player out there having fun. The defense is much better than last year, and Ryan Grant is stepping into the picture as a long term solution to a stalled out running game. Green Bay has all the tools to make it to a superbowl, and most of it is behind that strong throwing arm of number 4. He's still got it, and he's out there to play for fun, and go out on top.

Go F yourself in the A then... We don't need a bandwagoner like you.. The people who jumps on the ship when the teams or players are good, and abandon the ship when they're down and out.. If you are true Brett Favre fan you would stick through ups and downs.. Support your teams when they are on the lows...

You are the lowest form of scum for being a bandwagon fan, and as a life long Packer fan I would rather you root for some other team because I don't like your kind. Plus, Favre has always played the same. All the "bad decisions" you talk about are the result of never having good WR's. Now that he has good WR's you see what he is able to do. He never lost a step, he never lost strength in the throwing arm, and he never lost heart to play the game. So next time you try to talk about something you don't know anything about, please do us a favor and keep it to yourself. Bandwagon scum.

No dip sh*t, I'm saying that you are wrong about what you are talking about. And I'm also saying you are a loser for being a bandwagon fan. Its easy to like a team when they are winning, true fans stick with their team no matter what. You said yourself you are a bandwagon fan, making you pond scum. Have a nice day jack@ss =)

man, favre still has real skills. he's having a career year. football is a team game and super bowl or toilet bowl, it's never ever all on the qb. favre is a part of a very good packer team, just as he was a part of some pretty bad teams too.

if you see a bandwagon, it's too late bro... root for brett favre til you go blue in the face, just don't put your money where your heart is. never bet on the team you love

how did he pull a Roger Clemens? Brett never went into retirment there were just rumors and idiots who said he should retire but he never did. he is having the best year of his career this year. better than the 3 years he won mvp and the year he won the superbowl. he only has 8 ints this year and he has a QB rating over 100. he has improved GREATLY when it comes to the bad decisions. i don't think a bandwagon for Favre exist.

Hey Krackle - This one is for you

About how you said - brett Farve never had any good wr to throw to ??? Are you serious.?? yes Good wr/s bring out the better of the certain QB ,...but please....Good qb's make their wr's better. Prime example is Tom Brady. before he never had good targets to throw to but they always got the job done. They went to the superbowl and guess who got MVP ??? DEION BRANCH so shut your mouth about he never had good reciver....Go back to your bandwagon and cheer for the final seconds of Favre's breath as he will busy agains the Cowboys........
