-Auburn vs. FSU: FSU has a great defense that's gotten better as the year has gone on, so they will be effective in shutting down the great Auburn run offense. Auburn doesn't have a defense, so this game could get out of hand real early and FSU will likely blow out Auburn. If FSU does what they have done all season they should be considered one of the top three if not the greatest team of all times.
-Alabama vs. Oklahoma: Oklahoma has done a great job of recovering from being blow out twice this season. This Alabama team is every bit as good as last years team, but unfortunately for them they lost late in the season instead of the middle of the season like they did the past two years. Alabama should beat Oklahoma.
-Michigan St. and Stanford: Two similar teams in the fact they play strong defense and have problems on offense. Michigan St has the better defense and they have proven to be a strong 4th quarter team. When things don't go Stanford's way they don't know how to make adjustments as was the case in two bad losses to two bad teams in Utah and USC. Michigan St should win this game.
-Ohio St. and Clemson: Ohio St has a strong offense, but a really poor defense. Clemson has been inconsistent on offense, but the defense has stepped up this year. In the loss to South Carolina you saw Clemson choke repeatedly as they constantly committed bad turnovers. If both teams play to the abilities they can Clemson should win. But sometimes it's hard to trust Clemson not to shot themselves in the foot.
-Baylor vs. UCF: This looks like a complete mismatch, but giving the underdogs a chance is what makes sports so great. UCF has some playmakers, so they shouldn't be underestimated. UCF has shown a tendency to play up and down to the opponents they play. Baylor is the better team and should win this game, but don't be surprised if it's closer than expected.
-Missouri vs. Oklahoma St: This is a non BCS game, but to me it's the best non BCS game of all the bowl games. Two teams that were one win away in the final week of the season from being in a BCS game. Which ever team can rebound best and come out with the most focus should win this game. The Missouri losses seem to be more explainable than how Oklahoma St lost their games this season, so consistency goes to Missouri. I think on both sides of the ball Oklahoma St is the better team as they shown when they bring their A game they can play with the best as was evident in beating Baylor. Oklahoma St should win.
-Oregon vs. Texas: Non BCS game. Texas has been up and down all year long. Oregon is all flash and no substance. Texas doesn't have the physical defense that is required to stop the finesse yet explosive offense of Oregon, so Oregon should win.
-Texas A&M vs. Duke: When you think about these two teams you naturally conclude that Texas A&M should kill Duke. When you look at the Texas A&M schedule you realize that they lost to all the quality opponents they played and only have victories against weak to average teams, so Texas A&M is not as good as they appear to be. Duke has a defense that's pretty good at creating turnovers. Duke wasn't able to capitalize on the FSU turnovers, because of how strong the FSU defense is. Johnny Manziel is an exciting QB as he will thrown and scramble for a lot of yards and throw tons of touchdowns, but he also throws a lot of interceptions. Those Interceptions by Johnny football is what cost Texas A&M a couple of football games this year. Texas A&M also doesn't have a defense worth anything, so expect Duke to be able to capitalize on a couple of turnovers by Texas A&M. I'm going out on a limb and saying that Duke beats Texas A&M.
-Wisconsin vs. South Carolina: Non BCS game. Wisconsin has a good run attack, but it's made out to be better than it really is. Poor decision making has cost this team a couple times this year. Wisconsin defense is average. South Carolina should beat Wisconsin and this game doesn't deserve the hype it's getting.
