How can you possibly think the Jets can beat the Colts?

IM NOT MADE THE JETS BEAT THE CHARGERS I COULD CARE LESS!
however....
The Jets defense won't be able to hold the Colts, The Chargers played the passing game and if they let Peyton Manning and Pierre Garcon/Reggie Wayne play that passing game they don't stand a chance!
Even if they do focus on keeping the passing game down they still have to worry about Addai and Brown running.

The Jets passing game is weak (sorry Sanchez fans). So they Jets are going to have to run more and the Colts defense is more than capable of keeping the Jets offence back.

Not hating on the Jets but from what I watch and know. The Jets are going to have a hard time beating the Colts.

The Colts will be a lot of tougher this time they will have all their starts playing, the only way the Jets can win is if the Colts turnover the ball too many times

Addai and Donald Brown? Sorry, and as a fan of Uconn football I hate to say this, but those two guys are not very intimidating. If anything, they're both more effective in the passing game, which leads this argument torwards Peyton.



There are times the Colts look great as a team. There are also times where it seems like Peyton is ALL they've got. That cannot be the case against a team with a defense as fierce as the Jets. Indy did a great job stopping Ray Rice two days ago but typically they suck at stopping the run. That cannot happen as the Jets are the #1 rushing team and will tire that defense out and make it easier on Sanchez.



It won't be a blowout, but the odds will still rightfully be against New York winning. The Chargers were doing a great job against the Jets, holding them to 47 first half yards. It all went to waste in the 2nd half though, as one TD run by Shonn Green matched the entire productivity in the 1st half. It's a matter of wearing them down. The Jets DO have what it takes to beat Indy.

Hey you are basically repeating what everybody was saying about the Jets vs the Chargers. There was supposed to be no way the Jets could beat the Chargers but they did. Let's also look at the Colts in the Post season since 2000. Sure they do pile up the stats, yards passing, points, wins, but only 1 Superbowl victory against the Bears. They got there only because the Pats were missing 5 starters on defense. If you look back the Colts have 6 wins and 6 losses in the playoffs since 2000 and of those 6 loses they were the overwhelming favorite to go to the Superbowl. Yet for all their records and yards and points, only one visit to the big game. Truth is they, the Colts should have been in 4 superbowls, but they can't seem to win the big game. So, while you can watch your pretty boy colts play for stats, keep an eye on the clock and scoreboard as it gets closer and closer to the end of the game and your win pretty Colts are only leading 10-7. Better start praying that the weak passer on NYJ sideline doesn't connect on a few passes that lead to a 14-10 victory.

Any team can beat any other team in the NFL we have seen that for years as well as in the post season.

The Jets defense is very tough and the they can run the ball as well. They can beat the Colts just as any other team can.

I do know in the regular season when they played, Manning scored quick on them and I do not think they can stop the Colts offense it is faster and better then the the Chargers with much more talent all the way around. Wayne, Clark,Garcon, Collie are very talented as receivers. Then you are right they do have Brown and Addai but they are very good extras at receiving too. They may run the ball as well and have a good day on them if they can get the pass action going too.

Manning has become very patient with his pass game and he will dink and dunk them as well as just run on them. Manning is not Rivers and can read a defense better as well.

The Colts defense stopped one of the best running attacks in stopping the Ravens and did it well. They have stepped it up. Also with Mathis and Freeney out there in the mix it will be tough on a rookie QB.

The Jets can win but they have to bring the " A " game and not turn the ball over and have to score fast and furious in my opinion.

i'm sure that that's what the chargers thought too. look, i wouldn't underestimate the jets right now. they are playing with confidence and have the "nothing to lose" type of swagger. remember the 98 vikings? on paper, they had the NFC championship in the bag as well. well, lets just say that the falcons had different plans. in the playoffs, a strong running game, situational passing, and strong defense wins championships. personally i don't care who wins...but i wouldn't be surprised if the jets can pull an upset. then, the colts will feel very stupid for laying down in that game in week 16.

Even when the Jets thought they played the Colts starters for the first half, they really didn't play all of them. Garcon was out, Addai played 1st quarter, Freeney and Mathis were only in on 3rd down situations. Jets don't have a shot unless they int Peyton 5 times.

BINGO. We HATE passing. It's our enemy. We RUN the ball in New York. Period. And the Jets had over 200 rushing yards vs. Indy.

its very easy, jet fans go to a shrink and pay lots of money, the shrink puts them to sleep and they dream of not only beating the colts, but winning the superbowl. Its a very good way of jet fans seeing their team win. When they leave the docs office, they are advised not to read any sport pages for a few weeks. :)
