I think they hated him because he was never able to win the big one. Going to a bunch of NFC Championships just wasn't good enough I guess.

When your not winning rings and losing in the playoffs each year, the blame then goes usually to the coach. Not so much the case in Philly though, McNabb got the hate. He was accused of choking under pressure and bringing no rings to Philadelphia. Not all of Philly hated him though. Every team has it's group of fans that believe they are the most hardcore and they know what is best for the team, and they seem to spend more time hating players than actually rooting for their team to win. These are the fans that post garbage and hate messages on opposing team web site message boards and 2 days later are demanding the head of their star player. Some fans just love the drama, primary example being Cleveland. They love to hold a grudge and burn a jersey. Watch out Michael Vick, your on deck.

Whalers-Worst fan base? Then why do human beings line as much as play for the Birds? EDIT-thank you Stone chilly.

Most Philly fans only like the Ealges when they win, and hate them when they lose. The fan behavior gets so bad they built a court inside Vet Stadium to procescute on-site. No kidding. They nicknamed it "Eagles court" and was presided by Superior Court of Pennslyvania Judge Seamus McCaffrey

What more do you need to say about fans that need a in-house judicial system in their stadium.

It wasn't hate, it was frustration. When you give a team that amount of success and can't come through with one Superbowl win it's time to go a different route.

Also one thing that frustrated the hell out of many of us Philly fans is the fact that he goofed around when it wasn't necessary. Like last year with the beginning of the playoffs against Dallas he is coming out dancing playing the air guitar and not taking it serious, that's when are frustration with him is mounted.

For the same reason they are about to hate Michael Vick. Iggles fans are idiots that don't deserve a Super Bowl caliber team. Ever.

Philly fans are the worst, that is simply why. They are going to have a hilariously sad year; one they deserve.

McNabb was a great QB, that organization could never put the surrounding pieces together.

They booed him when he was drafted. They think the Eagles should win every season, They must realize in order to have a good offense there must be a good running and receiving game. The coach wants to pass, pass, pass. Looks like MV can pass the ball, NOW, but he can also run. The coach's dream may have come true

Could not win the big game....I blame the GM and the coach for not drafting any decent WR.

You misunderstood the fans.

The were not booing him, they were saying "soup" in thanks for McNabb (and his mother) turning them on to the deliciousness of Chunky Soup.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop.
