*if i were in charge, i would have pulled ben from the game after the first fumble and put in leftwich. ben is a complete asshole who doesn't know what he's doing. because of him, they lost the game.

*and what the hell is the deal with willie parker? he averaged 1.6 yards on 18 carries yesterday. obviously he can't do **** anymore. put in gary russell or mewelde moore. they would do a much better job than willie.

anyone else agree? what are your thoughts?

1st the Steelers Offensive line got OWNED all day long.. and for Willie Parker? lol it's hard as hell to run for good averages when you're getting hit 5 yards deep before you even get your first step off..

as for Ben.. he made some really nice plays

ok on the running plays.. and what I saw as their problem.. even CBS was pointing it out.. that draw play they were trying to run was developing too slow.. vs a fast run stuffing line like Tennessee showed in that game it's best to line up with a Fullback and run right at them.. get fancy and you get stopped behind the line.. there was one play.. a toss sweep that Willie Parker ran that he did everything he could but you could obviously see that Tennessee sealed off the LoS down tot he sideline and kept him moving laterally until the play fizzled out.. I really can't fault Parker at all on this game.. he was a consequence of playcalling..

what I do want to know is who in the world taught NFL QB's how to run with the ball.. Ben was careless with it when he was running and that resulted in the first fumble.. then Travaris Jackson lost the game vs the Falcons because he was carelessly handling it.. seriously get these QB's some video of Tebow running the ball!!!

come on now, thats a little bit harsh. Ben has had trouble this season, but i think it has mroe to do with the offensive line then anything else. remember ben has lead the steeler to a title before and he is the steelers QB. you cant just bench someon because of 1 fumble. As for willie, its pretty tough to run against the titans, they sport one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. That said, those guys are going to have to step up their game if they expec to get by the titans next time around. However I doubt Leftwich can do better than ben, and Moore is no way the same threat Willie is.

KKM you say that Ben is not an elite QB.I beg to differ with you. He's the youngest QB to with a SB he is the only QB in NFL history to win 50 games in their first five years. This years offensive line is terrible. I've mentioned it before that the Steelers have ONE offensive linemen back from last year who is playing. Kendell Simmon is on IR, Marvel Smith hasn't played since the beginning of the season. Alan Fanaca is with the Jets. They are playing with a third string tackle Darnell Stapelton and Max Starks playing out of position in place of Smith. Last year Ben had over 30 TD's and something like 8 or 9 interception. Willie Parker is no way near healthy, Mewelde Moore is a nice back to have but he was brought in to be the third down back. Mendenhal is also on IR. Buy the way, the year the Steelers won the SB, Ben had huge games in all of the playoff games. The Steelers came out throwing the ball in all three games. Ben is trying to carry the load for a very poor offensive line. He has taken more gambles because he has to. Look around at the NFL QBs, and Ben is definitely in the top 3.

Both these problems are better blamed on the Steelers o-line. Its pretty clear they've had sack problems and running problems throughout the season. Ben Roethlisberger and Willie Parker are good backs. Substituting them for their replacements doesn't make sense. Since when has Byron Leftwich won a superbowl. They are better off looking at that o - line. Plus that Titans d - line is good against anyone. You think they got the 1 seed by accident?

Wow. How quickly do people jump ships! Are you kidding me? Ben single handedly won the game for the Steelers the previous week against the Ravens. You cannot seriously thing that Byron Leftwich, who couldn't start for the FALCONS!!! last year, is better than Ben. Ben does make some bad choices, but CLEARLY the coaches know who the better QB is. There is NO QB controversy in Pittsburgh. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

As far as Willie goes...I am not 100% convinced he is recovered. He looks timid to hit holes and does not get up to top speed very quickly. Mewelde Moore, I thought, should get more touches. Especially, since he is a bigger threat in the passing game.

If we see the Titans again, it will be a different game. Don't dog Ben so quickly.

I think he is a decent qb but people that say he is great because he won a ring are ridiculous. He had a rating of like 22 in the Super Bowl for God sake!!! Obviously im a Dallas fan and all people do is hate on Romo. I dont know the numbers but I honestly believe if you go thru an check ints an fumbles in the last 2 years, Roethlisberger has more then Romo. I understand your concern 100% and i AM NOT hating on your team even though I hate them. You just dont know from week to week what your going to get from him. Me personally, I wouldnt like that. I live near Pittsburgh and I have seen 90% of his games.

Look up Candy @ss on wikipedia. You will see the roster of the Pittsburgh O line. You can't rest the blame on Ben's shoulders. If the guys are just rolling through the O line bad things will happen.

The harsh reality is that Roethlisberger is not an elite quarterback, so to expect him to single-handedly defeat one of the top teams in the AFC is unrealistic. Roethlisberger is more of a game manager than a game breaker and with virtually no rushing attack to speak of lately it was only a matter of time before Pittsburgh took a beating.

If you're going to blame anyone, blame the coach; he obviously did a poor job of prepping the team for the Tennessee game.

Roethlisberger was playing against a TOUGH defensive line...I watched the game and saw where alot of times when he got sacked and fumbled the ball, the offensive line wasn't doing their job. I guess you forgot that they played a team with AWESOME defense who made very little mistakes.

Byron Leftwich should be starter. Roethlisberger shoulder probably is still a little hurt from the Redskins game. Willie Parker is going against really tough defense. They are going against a #1 seed playoff team. At least they are probably going to do good this week.
