If a new ruling is issued and Josh Gordon is allowed to play again then...?

Why is Ray Rice suspended indefinitely even though the new rule is that it's 6 games for first time offenders? Because they have no backbone and bend as the media shepherds the public into one generalized opinion? Everybody jacked this up horribly.

Because the NFL needs to salvage its reputation on this issue and they know no one is going to say one word to defend Rice. That's life in the media age.

They all deserve to get booted out for life. They're all told what not to do and spoon fed every great thing in life. No excuses, boot them all to the curb and let them rot!

For Gordon, it doesn't matter. Even if he gets reinstated, it will only be for a short time because of his DUI case which goes to court in November. Gordon is in what is called Stage III of the NFL Substance Abuse Policy, meaning he has to stay clean for the rest of his career or is subject to a year long suspension.

Well for starters, Gordon won't be allowed to play. If the new ruling is issued it won't get retroactively moved to the start of the season. Rice is suspended indefinitely not because of the new rule is 6 games, but because he apparently lied to the Ravens organization and the NFL about what actually happened in that elevator. My guess is that he said he only hit her once and that it was in "self defense" yet the video clearly shows otherwise.
