Why do they hate Vick so much?????

Vick has never been convicted of a crime. He was never convicted of the alleged water bottle incident or the Ron Mexico accusation.

Some may say they hate him because he made a mean gesture. Other professional athletes have made mean gestures to fans. For instance, Jake Plummer, Jeff George, and Scott Olsen (Marlins pitcher), and countless others have responded to those small number of fans who act like jerks at games. (We all know jerks at games and have sat by a jerk at a sporting event and we wanted to flick them off too).

Some may say they hate him because of what he is "alleged" doing? Why wasn't America in an uproar when Chmura was "alleged" of raping an underage girl. I understand that Chmura was found not guilty. But I bring him up because right now, Vick is "alleged" and not convicted.

Some may say they hate the fact that he hang around "thugs" who do stupid things. A few months ago, Patrick Kerney's (Pro Bowl defensive end) friends was accused of raping a woman in Kerney's house. Why are we not angry with that?

Some may say they hate him because he cannot complete a pass. But he is in the top 10 among current QB in career win loss percentage. Isn't winning the most important thing???

So other than all of the things that he have been ACCUSED of doing, can you explain using facts, why Vick deserved to be hated.

You're right, he hasn't been convicted of a crime so for now he is innocent until proven guilty.

Having said that, I do feel until proven otherwise, that he is involved with dog fighting which I find repugnant. I detest people....ANY people regardless of their race, societal stature, sexual orientation, age etc that are cruel to animals. I don't understand this so called 'sport' of breeding dogs to be hyper aggressive and then when they don't perform to expectations they are electrocuted, beaten, shot etc. It's barbaric and honestly if I had my way I would toss whoever was involved in this in a ring with hyper aggressive dogs and see how they like it.

Vick is supposed to be a role model...whether he likes it or not he is. What does being cruel and disgusting to animals say to the people who look up to him?

I could care less of his celebrity, or what sport he plays or even if he plays well or not. I want him held accountable for what he directly or indirectly did to those dogs. And I want everyone else involved who knew what was going on to be held responsible.

I don't hate him but I do think he's a disgrace of a human being!

I don't hate Micheal Vick but I think he has shown some weak character. Flipping off his fans made me not like him. The fans are the reason he is there ultimately and it showed him to have poor sportsmanship and a lack of class. I have always enjoyed football players like Emmit Smith who bought his offensive line each rolexes for doing their job, he was a nice guy, good to his fans and an excellent athlete. I wish he had been on the Oilers(my team back then) cause they sucked.

I read the inditement against Vick and it dosen't actually suprise me somehow. But we will have to wait and see what a jury thinks of all the witness testimony and the video and audio evidence they have. Plus he has more charges to face.

There is no good evidence for hate, hate is useless. But I can see why weak minded people might be propted to hate him if the read the inditement against him it is pretty gruesome. I own two dogs and I cried a little whenever I looked at my own dog loyally sitting by me while on the computer. I can't see how anyone can watch this sort of thing let alone participate or finance it.

I hate Vick becuase he has ruled the football scene since he was in college and produced squat. I am soooo tired of hearing about him and how he can throw the ball 80 gazzilion miles and run. He has never been to the Super bowl, he has only one year over 80 QB Rating (81.3), and innocent or not, he keeps putting himself in stupid situations like the bird, the dope, and now this. He is a waste of our time listening to the media talk about him. But because our nation is so hung up on the Black/White thing, we have to continually hear about how he is an amazing QB when in fact he can't touch Donovan McNabb. Doesn't America have better things to do than focus all their time on one person?

I appreciate the fact that I know the Colts could beat the Falcons every single time because they have too much of their money sunk into such a terrible quarterback. If you want facts do following:

1. Take Michael Vick's large salary and divide it by passing yard+rushing yards-sacked yards.

2. Take Michael Vick's large salary and divide it by touchdowns.

3. Do the same thing for Drew Brees or Peyton Manning.

Conclusions:

The Falcons pay twice as much per yard the Michael Vick gains as the Colts pay per yard that Manning does.

Vick only has 8 more rushing TDs than Manning....EIGHT!

They pay three times as much per TD.

They are getting ripped off by a loser.

Anyone who knowingly has herpes, but does not tell their sexual partner, deserves to be hated. Vick settled out of court for an undisclosed amount to the woman he gave herpes to because he knew if he went to court, he would lose. You don't just settle out of court if you are innocent, especially if you have more than enough money to fight it in the first place.

That said, I have read the full indictment and was shocked and disgusted to say the least. Sadly, he WILL be convicted. The evidence is overwhelming. He even mouthed "I'm Sorry" to his mother as he was headed to the courts. Sorry? For What? You don't apologize if you haven't done anything wrong.

I think he deserves his day in court, just like anybody else. However, he also deserves the maximum punishment for these heinous acts.

I don't "hate" anybody. But I am definitely NOT a fan of Michael Vick. Here's why............

He ranked 22nd in the NFL last year with a passer rating of just 75.7, threw for just 2474 yards, average a pathetic 154 yards per game passing, threw 13 interceptons, and the Falcons finished 7/9 and 3rd in the NFC South behind the Saints and the Panthers. Does this sound like it's worth $17.7 million a year to you?

Add this to the fact that he flips off his own fans, got caught in the airport with drugs but got off, and is now under federal investigation for organized dog fighting, and it paints a pretty negative picture of a guy that had it all, but who managed to figure out how to screw it all up.

* Notice how I didn't mention the color of his skin a single time since that has absolutely NOTHING to do with his performance as an athelete or his conduct off the field. Statistics don't care what color you are!

I'm a huge Falcons fan and everything, but I didn't like him BEFORE the dog fighting charges were brought on. He's extremely cocky and honestly thinks the only reason the Falcons win because of him and him alone. The most annoying thing about him is that he constantly refers to himself in the third person. I also don't like his brother, Marcus. Stomping on people's calves... You would think these two would've learned some humility by now.

I hate him as a player mostly because he's a Falcon...beyond that I don't care one bit. I hope the guy is innocent, really. Not even just for his sake, I just loved watching Julius Peppers chase his *** down in the back field... Seriously, I do hope the guy is innocent...but even if he is, people will treat him like OJ, found innocent, treated guilty (he could have been guilty...who else could have done it?) whatever...but if he's guilty (Vick)...THEN I'll hate him as a Falcon AND as a person...right now I'll just wait and see.

Hate is a strong word, but it might apply in Vick's case?

Anyone who abuses animals is scum of the Earth.

You cannot tell me that someone who owns property is unaware of what happens on that property.

Who owns over 60 dogs? Breeders, pet shop owners, or people engaged in illegal activity. Gee? I wonder which category Vick fits into?

Dogs are close to peoples' hearts, because they display psychological tendencies, much like humans. They understand, love, rejection, hunger and pain, scolding and praise.

Dogs offer unconditional love to their owners, and ask little in return.

Vick is scum I'd scape off the bottom of my shoe.

He's done..he's over..he crossed the lines of decency.

Vick would be better off if he was accused of shooting someone. People can distance themselves from acts of murder...saying "well, they probably had it coming," but animals are defensless and dependent on us.

Not everyone has been touched by murder, but everyone, at one point in their life, has been touched by the unconditional love of a dog.

Vick hurts and murders those unable to help themselves.

That's why I hate Vick.

I dont hate Vick. I dislike him because he flipped off the entire Georgia Dome. But, I agree. Innocent until proven guilty.

And for the record I dont care for Jake Plummer or any of the other athletes you named.

I don't hate vick at all. I think he's a great player. perhaps overrated (winning is something teams do, not individuals), but still a great player. I don't really care about the dog thing though: players rough up their g/f's and wives all the time and no one seems to give a damn about that! the thing is, it's july and we're bored because there's no real sports going on, so we pick on vick and bonds and the ref guy.

There are people who will aways find you guilty until proven innocent. (ask the duke players) The people that are really on a rampage are the PETA people. Don't you dare hurt or think anything bad about an animal or they will come after you with a vengeance. I'm not defending Vick, just people need to wait till all the facts are out and it goes to trial.

Referring to the post earlier.

Yes, if you hurt animals us "PETA people" will come after you with the vengeance.

That's why we are coming for Vick.

And I don't care if it is just a "alleged" crime right now... 50+ dogs found on his property... and all sorts of equip found... including a rape stand.

um.

GUILTY!

i do no longer evaluate it plenty worse. i think maximum view it as worse by using fact the animal is being tortured for interest as antagonistic as getting used for nutrients. In different phrases considering the fact that they have entertainment interior the act of cruelty they are regarded down as vicious. it quite is sort of a guy or woman who shot somebody for self protection and somebody who shot some random guy or woman on the line for relaxing. the top effect is the comparable yet one guy or woman took entertainment interior the slaughter which replaced into pointless. the different is happy they have been waiting to guard themselves even nevertheless it replaced into no longer some thing they did out of excitement yet for survival. Many meat-eaters have self belief they desire meat to stay to tell the story or in simple terms undeniable love the style yet they do no longer see what's going on at the back of closed doors. the those that artwork for the enterprise do it to make funds for their potential of survival. Michael Vick does no longer would desire to torture canines to stay.

it is a federal indictment. Those are not just allegations from an overzealous local DA. There is some strict protocol to Federal stuff including mandatory setencing if convicted.

"Every person has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty."

That rolemodel crap is played out? Who does he have to be a role model? He is just a guy that does his job and gets paid so much money because the fans want to see him play. There is no reason why all athletes should be role models They are just humans. The only role model a child should have are the parents.

Look when the Fed's bring down and inditment on someone it's not like a wife accusing her husband of beating her or something like that!!

It's not really and accusation should u say(it is but u know what i mean) and they must obviously have egnough facts and witnesses to take him to court so just watch and see as your MAN Vick get's what he deserves!

I hate Vick questions more than I hate the man himself.

I do not hate. I do however hope that if found guilty he is dealt with by the letter of the law without special consideration.

A lot of people are brainwashed. Not a lot of people get sent to court on such vial terms. It just comes to our heads naturally that, since he's accused and famous, we've GOT to have our facts straight, even though we don't.
