To start off with I'm a Ravens fan and hate the Steelers as a result. But honestly I think the league is targeting Harrison and have fined him way more than should be given. A few years ago these hits would be applauded as great defensive hits, but with the league girling up the rules defensive players have to watch where they hit, especially on quarterbacks; you can't hit them in the head or the knee, so if they curl up where do you hit them? If it weren't for guys like Harrison and Ray Lewis then girls would be playing in the NFL by now.

Two letters, the first is the 2nd letter in the alphabet and the 2nd is the 19th letter. The thing I love to see the most is some of the Ravens players and fans saying it is crap also. I am like you a Steelers fan that dislike (not hate) but have much respect for the Ravens as they play the same kind of ball as the Burgh. If it was them targeting Ray or any other player I would be mad too! I am glad Troy, Hines and Terrell Suggs calling out the NFL in their own hypocrisy, there is a commercial on the NFL network (just happened to be after a JH story) that shows a player hitting another player with his helmet over and over and just seen a Toyota commercial about head safety with 2 high school players hitting helmet to helmet. Let them play or flag EVERYBODY!!!

Read the 11/1/10 Sports Illustrated articles on concussions in the NFL. Read about concussions happening in HS ball.

Anyone who thinks that ramming your head into another person's head at full speed is the best way to tackle someone is sadistic. Since the NCAA and now the NFL have been more stringent on hits to the head and using the head, I've seen a lot more contact with the chest area which happens to be where the ball is. The result is that there are more fumbles and incomplete passes and fewer guys having to get CAT scans.

Which would you rather see as a fan, forced incompletions and fumbles or star players ending their careers and lives early?

I think it is a bunch on nonsense.

I think it was because the league is mad at him for talking about the NFL a couple weeks ago when he got his first fine of the season against the browns. I bet you if it was Ray Lewis who made that hit they probable would have fined him very little no offence to you raven fan.

The league is ridiculous. It targets or identifies certain players as examples, and to increase press hype they continue to fine these players to give a general "dont hit hard" message to the NFL players. But what the **** is football besides hard hitting
