Where Will David Carr Go?

Question

Now that the Texans have Matt Schaub, where will David Carr go? Will he be traded? Given his outright release? What teams are interested in him?

There are a few teams that could potentially make sense...Kitna is not a long term answer in Detroit...If Detroit takes Brady Quinn, they won't need Carr...but if Detroit takes Calvin Johnson, Carr could be there...



Miami's QB situation is a mess...and has been since they gave up on Jay Fiedler...They haven't been to the playoffs since...I think Culpepper is highly overrated...Carr could compete with him to start...



Green Bay, with this being Favre's final year, may throw Rodgers in there right away...but they could pick up Carr, who at least has starting experience, to transition from Favre to Rodgers...



Cleveland has QB issues...They may have their eye on Brady Quinn, since he is from Ohio...but if Quinn is taken by the Lions, Carr might get to start here...

I'm thinking the Minnesota Vikings might put in a bid for David Carr. More than likely Jamarcus Russell, and Brady Quinn will likely be already drafted by then, and the uncertainty of the QB situation the Vikings have, Making a move for David Carr makes a lot more sense.

There has been talks about him going to MIami! I hate to say this but i think David Carr is a good quarterback!! The reason why he hasnt shown it is because look where he has been playing for the past 5 seasons!!! he had no blocking only 1 reciever to catch the ball no running game, no one really to teach him when to throw the ball (QB coach/coordinators). I actually think this guy can become a Brees, Hasselback,Palmer but he hasnt gotten a chance yet! and if you people think Schaub will be better than Carr than yall are wrong! This guy only played in 2 games in his whole career and lost both of them he has 6 TD's and 6 INT!! Carr is a better runner than Schaub!! YEA HOUSTON YOU SURE DID UPGRADE!!

What will the rest of the Carr family do? I mean when he was drafted by Houston his whole family moved here! Mother, father, brothers......and his wife and children. Man, this will be a huge problem for the whole family....and for the new team that picks him up! David has so much going on in his personal life with his father coming to practices, kids, etc. (and like a good family man his family comes first) that he can't concentrate on football. Give me a non-family man that puts his TEAM first and I will be happy! Come on this is a football first profession until you are retired or out of the league. Oh right, maybe David Carr will be out of the league soon! Yipppeee.......

How about this....



Send Carr to Oakland....Oakland then passes on a QB in the draft in favor of Calvin Johnson...Keep Randy Moss...and take a TE like Miller in the 2nd round. Granted, Carr isn't a superb QB at this point, but he's certainly good enough to take advantage of an offense like that...but alas, I think he'll end up on a team like Miami....

I think he will be released. The Browns or Raiders should get him. The Raiders don't have any QBs of NFL quality. But the Browns might have better offensive tools. Maybe the Panthers would be a good fit too. Jake hand a bad year last year. They also are not in position to take a top QB in the draft.

I don't think he's going anywhere. Shaub is untested and if Carr is gone they ill have suitable backup. I don't think any team would be willing to give up enough for a Carr trade so look for him to become the backup and challenge Shaub for the starting job.

I think that Detroit might be a good fit. He's been in the league for a while now, so there is no need to break him into the way a professional goes about his business.



The Lions need someone to back up Kitna and eventually replace him. Moreover, I'd like to see what Mike Martz (sp?) can do with him.

i believe he may go to a place like Green Bay and minnesota. also miami since they get everyone. i also believe there is a chance he sees himself in a 49ers uni but does not start. i dont think he is that good. and schaub definetly hurts.
