ok lets face it without the WR the QB would be nothing, and without the QB the WR would be nothing. So who do you think the Greatest QB/WR duo of all-time is if there ever was a greatest QB/WR duo of all-time

Easy, Rice and Montana. THEY WERE ONLY TOGETHER FOR FIVE COMPLETE YEARS out of six. One year was a strike year and it was there best year together. They did more in a few years by winning championships and setting records than any other duo in the history of the sport. 3 Superbowl's and a ton of records. No one else including Irvin and Aikman, Bradshaw and Swann or Manning and Harrison can say they both set records and won championships in a short amount of years. They were the shiznit.
Manning and Harrison have more records then Montana and Rice but far fewer championships. Plus Montana and Rice only was a duo 6 years like I said earlier. Manning and Harrison have been together for like 9 years or more and just recently won one ring.

People always say the first that comes to mind and say Montana-Rice or Young-Rice because they stand out. But statistically speaking it is Manning-Harrison and they're still going. Sure Rice was exceptional, as were the two throwing him the ball, but Marvin Harrison is exceptional as well, and with Manning on the other end, you can make a very strong case for them being the best duo.
Comparing these duos to one another to find the best one is pretty much impossible. Consider the stats and then consider the history, people seem to always side with history...

As much as I want to say Montana and Rice, I look at what Brady and Moss did last year and there is no denying it. Brady threw 50 Td's that season and Moss had 23 of them, they havent won a SB yet but the stats are amazing

Joe Montana to Jerry Rice
Steve Young to Jerry Rice
No brainer Jerry Rice is the best WR ever.....And Montana and Young were two of the greatest QBs....

The greatest quarterback of all time was Joe Montana, and he was among the all-time greatest before he got the greatest receiver. The greatest receiver of all time was Jerry Rice, and the stats he racked up after he no longer had the greatest quarterback -- even the stats he racked up after Steve Young retired and had to rely on the pedestrian Jeff Garcia -- were pretty amazing.

1. Manning to Harrison - it's like they're one person!
2. Favre to Sharp was awesome - too bad it was cut short.
3.&4. Young or Montana to Rice - both were great.
5. Culpepper to Moss was rediculous - too bad they couldn't get along.
6. Aikman to Irvin - alothough Irvin would never get away with all the pushing off these days.
7. Kelly to Lofton - most underrated of all time.

in the old days, i loved unitas to barry. the rules were so different back then and unitas invented the two minute drill. barry could always get open and unitas would find him.
HOWEVER, things change and even though they arent done yet, i think the very best i have ever seen is manning to harrison. by the time they are done, they will own all the numbers.

Unitas-Berry -- The greatest quarterback of all-time with one of the quickest receivers of his era. When Berry went long and the ball floated in his arms, you could basically chalk up six points. It was the definition of a live arm and mad speed.
