Do you ever think about the significance the success of the Pats has with some fans before you say things?

Just like with your team and how you are just waiting for success... it's the same things with Pats fans. That first superbowl was one of the greatest experiences for me. It's something that brought my Dad and I together during a time when we were really at odds with eachother over some really personal things. They won... and we were happy and hugging... something we are not typically comfortable with, but our team won... the team he introduced me too as a kid... they finally won... out of practically no where. Now they've continued to be successful and every superbowl they're in I watch it with my Dad... and it's a special time for us since we don't get to see eachother that much anymore. That's why when I hear stories about special memories people have with their parents about sports I empathize. What I'm saying is... before you go around saying the things you do about the Pats or other teams... think about how important it is to the true fans that follow them.

GO PATS!

All true. But do you remember how that kid next door acted when you got a new bike. He talked crap about it, how his old one was better, etc.

Why? Cuz he was jealous, and he wanted one. So, because he couldn't enjoy it, he wanted to ruin your enjoyment.

And so it is with the haters. The Patriots aren't my team, But my Bengals are all sitting at home. I'm glad the team has a chance to make history. I'm not going to hate on them.

What is sad is all the people who feel the need to ruin your enjoyment, because their team didn't make it. Well, too bad. I'm a fan... I support my team, and I talk trash. But the ridiculous blind hate by some of the Colts and Cowboys fans on here in particular, is really just pathetic. I understand that there are a few Patriot "fans" who aren't helping things...... but really, ignore them, and get on with your own life. Why do people gotta be so embittered that they can't let someone else savor the moment?

Go Patriots.. Get Junior his ring.

Good luck with that. Winners are always hated. I remember when I was younger hating the 49ers, The Celtics, Lakers. What people should do is learn to love the sport and enjoy it for what it is. I am a Cowboys fan (I get a lot of hate about that too) but am excited that I have a chance to see a team go undefeated. I guess I have just learned to appreciate the game instead of just one team. I wish I could have appreciated watching Joe Montana and Jerry Rice more now that I have a bigger respect for the game. I think it brings me more enjoyment from the game itself. I am so happy that I have got to watch Brett Farve have a great carreer. It was the same way for John Elway, Emmitt Smith, and many others. Hopefully more people can realize this and understand what is happening from a historical standpoint. They should be happy that they are getting a chance to see what could be the greatest team ever accomplish something this great. In a few years everything will change and another team will be at the top and they will be hated too.

I can only relate. I was a castaway from the start, by my friends, classmates, society in general. Even the churches. All of these experiences have made me cleave to G-d alone. So much of the world is based in the ego of success and failure. Calvinism would beg to differ and the prosperity doctrine, and the caste system. If you read the teachings you may see that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. Those who hunger in this life shall have everlasting fullness in the next, and so on. This is the material plane, where the prince of the power of the air has reign. Follow the truth and expect failure in this world, but not in the eyes of G-d.

Hmm, I'm hoping they win but am a Bengals and Jags fan. Don't think Belichik is a genius but got lucky in finding Brady. After all, he was on the bench until Bledsoe got injured. Then the Pats started winning.

So am glad the Pats winning helped you and your dad to get along. But not sure why someone should have a different opinion of them because of you and your dad.

They're a sports team and it is a part of the game.

I am not a Patriots fan, I am a Packer fan. But your right football fans across this nation will enjoy this game, and respect the teams in it. Those who attack and call names and spew hatred they are not fans, they are fanatics. Basically emotionally unstable people who need attention.
