Not me. Probably top 10 of single season teams but not #1. You really have to look at the teams in the context of the era they are playing in. The 72 'fins would not even be a .500 team in this era, IMO. I don't even think they were the greatest team of the 70's. The steelers come to mind for that decade.

Actually most players that were part of the 72 team agree that the 73 dolphin team was better even though they had a couple of losses. Record doesnt mean everything. Look at the steelers. Superbowl champs this year with a 11-5 record barely making the play offs, and they were eliminated the season before when they went 15-1

Others have mentioned this, yet lower back then the standard season grow to be in basic terms 14 video games. They gained 3 submit-season video games, which incorporate the great Bowl. That great Bowl activity featured in all likelihood the worst bypass of all time, whilst the Dolphins muffed a field purpose attempt, and the kicker tried to throw the ball to a teammate. Miami nevertheless gained 14-7 ... yet only think of, if that they had made this kick, the suitable score might have been 17-0 as nicely, only like their checklist.

We'll never know what team is the best team of all time...impossible unless they play eachother....just because they have the record doesn't mean they're the best...strange things happen...like the Colts defense suddenly springing to life giving them a 13-0 start last season.....just focus on this season....

I can say that my Panthers in 2001 (1-15; lost 15 straight) were the worst team ever and probably not be so far off but like I said, we don't know from year to year if that really was a bad team or just an unlucky team...

I live near Pittsburgh and am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. But Pittsburgh helped Miami to their perfect record. You cannot beat perfection. Until we go 19 and 0, I have to agree Miami is the best.

I think the Cowboys dynasty (Aikman, Emmit and Irvin) was the best team I ever saw. The 85 Bears would be next.

you might wanna research how many games were played in 71-72. the game season was 14 games i believe. so the comparison in not the same as today. they didnt win 17 in a row, it was 14. they play 16 games now and one bye week. so you can only win 16 in a row. niners and broncos won 15 games. not in a row though

Look at the schedule of that team and see how weak it was; there were only 3 teams on their schedule that finished over .500.

I do. No other team has ever had an undefeated season and went on to win the Superbowl.

Those "Fins were great, no doubt, but they haven't had the numbers over time to be considered the best.

nope... they couldn't compete with any of the current teams. The sport has evolved, they'd all be too slow, and too small.
