Good question. I think the only other team that could stack up against them statistically is the Steelers of the 1970's. If you ask Michael Irving however, he would say dallas of the 1990's was the greatest team ever, eventhough half of them had to split jail time with football time (Hee hee). If the Patriots of today were to play either of those two teams The Pats would win hands down and the main reason for this is the NFL is constantly getting bigger, faster and stronger each year. I doubt if a Steelers offensive line which probably averaged about 250-260 Lbs could effectively block New Englands D-Line which averages around 300lbs and whom are faster and stronger. No question the Patriots are the greatest team of at least the last twenty years...

No, it's the Steel Curtain. The 70's Steelers had 4 titles in 6 years. Now if the Patriots next year win the Super Bowl and match that, they can be considered, but until then, its the Steelers of the 70's.

Sadly no.

They are a good team, with a good QB. But the greatest team of all time would have to be the 85 Bears. Many would make the Dolphin 17-0 argument but I thin if those two teams met the Bears would crush them. Plus the leauge was weaker then.

The Green Bay Packers of the '60s are the greatest team in football history.

No. I think that the Dolhins during the Shula/Marino days were the best. The Patriots have a great offense, but their defense is not strong enough to warrant them being called the best ever. But, I loathe Tom Brady, so maybe my opinion is a little skewed.

Absoloutely not. They are good, but they do not compare to the Steel Curtain or Lombardi's Packers. They defenitely would have been close if they would have won this year's Super Bowl.
